The china sourcing Campaign

China, the land of unlimited possibilities and a vast playground of service industries like soft goods, hard goods and electronics. Soft items referring to Clothes, children’s fluff toys and hard goods for the home decorative, and you know electronics. You would come across tens of thousands of manufacturers who make items but more than them are the small trading companies who market better than these factories. This is where the price factor comes in to play.

So how to reach out to the factories directly would be the million-dollar question. There are pros and cons of doing business through the trading agents – irresponsibility being the biggest threat and then comes the pricing. So it is always advisable to go directly to the factories to get as much as you want and the way you like it. Then how exactly do you get in touch with the smaller factories – well it is not that easy but still possible.

As we know china harbors the world’s biggest on-line population, this goes for the b2b and b2c sites as well. We would have come across alibaba and other big players, but unknown are other sites like efu.com,classified directories, etc., In china every province has a county which has a specialty of production . It may be electronics or chemicals or clothing, every industry has its own b2b sites in the local language as well.
So the smaller factories do advertise themselves in these directories looking out for possible business ventures. So it is wise to hunt for those phone numbers or email ids of factories in such sites where you can get good pricing or at least do a smart bench marking of the commodities which you would like to import.
You cannot underestimate that smaller factories cannot do exports, many of big or boutique importers tend to place orders with big companies aiming for better service and good communications. But these big companies hardly do produce in-house but outsource it to such smaller factories for better price markup.

It is a known factor that communication in china is not as easy as in other countries but these days such a factor is on reversal. Many young people with an average level of spoken English are mushrooming in each and every part of china. It is very interesting to notice that these young graduates, even though their spoken English is a bit rusty, they have a good flair for on-line chatting in good English.
